Port Kembla Veterans

Port Kembla Veterans are open to all members and lady members of Port Kembla Golf Club who are over the age of 55. The Vets play the first and third Thursday of every Month for a competition fee of $10.00. The Illawarra District Vets have reciprocal rights so that membership of the Vets enables you to play once a month in each of the Golf Clubs of the Illawarra for a small fee.If you wish to join please contact Ian Findlay, Jim Phillips or Brian White or leave an envelope with $6 your badge number and your name with the office staff and ask them to pass it on to the Vets. All lady veterans are welcome to play in our Thursday competition.

The veterans have organised a veterans club tee shirt with the club logo, Port Kembla Vets and your name embroidered for $35. Please contact EmbroidMe at 326B Crown St.

The Illawarra Veterans association has this year initiated a teams event between the seven clubs with one round played at each club between April and November. Each club is to select 8 players ( who may vary from month to month) and the best 6 stablford scores from each day will be added to determine the winning club. Representatives will be required to pay the green fees for their own games. Any veteran who wishes to be on the Port Kembla team please contact Jim or Ian.

The NSW Veterans golfers Association organises weeks of Golf at different Districts around the State and this provides a chance for Veteran Golfers to play for up to 40 weeks of Golf at some of the best courses in NSW in an organised competition with excellent prizes good company and economical fees.
